EXPANSION OF NECSA-K MEMBERSHIP - July Newsletter
SHORT SUMMARY of the Newsletter:
NECSA-K Advocacy Focus
The overall goal of the National Environment Civil Society Alliance of Kenya (NECSA-K) vision is to contribute to sustainable development and poverty reduction through efforts aimed at environmental protection and sustainable management of biological diversity and natural resources in Kenya – no one organization can achieve this alone. We need a powerful civil society alliance to push this agenda. After two years of implementation of the organizational development project supported by BMZ/WWF-Germany, the National Environment Civil Society Alliance of Kenya (NECSA-K) has tremendously expanded its membership in Kenya. The alliance has enhanced its capacity to mobilize members and recruit new vibrant affiliate organizations to advocate for policy reforms in the environment and natural resources management
sector in Kenya. NECSA-K is leading the way in addressing and holding the government accountable for sustainable management of the environment and Natural resources. It is really good to see the membership base of NECSA-K grow from the sixty-three (63) active civil society organization members in April 2022 to approximately ninety (90) member
CSOs by end of June 2022. This is truly auspicious.
