Kenya Draft National Sanitation Management Policy 2030. Towards Safely Managed Sanitation for All - comments by NECSA-K

In response to a call for comments from the Ministry of Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation, the National Environment Civil Society of Kenya (NECSA-K) convened its members to generate comments on the “Kenya Draft National Sanitation

Management Policy 2030. Towards Safely Managed Sanitation for All”. The policy intends to establish an enabling structure that shall ensure there is universal access to equitable and sustainably managed sanitation services across the service chain.

The policy will respond to the prevailing sanitation sector governance, management, regulatory, service delivery, investment and financing challenges across the sanitation service chain and address structural shortcomings that have undermined the sector especially in the realization of the constitutional obligation under Article 43(1)(b) and Kenya’s commitment to achieving safely managed sanitation for all by 2030.
