Strategic Niche
NECSA-K’s strategic niche is its ability to effectively bring together diverse CSOs, networks of CSOs and CBOs and other active organisations to influence issues relating to proper environmental and natural resource management in Kenya
Strategic Mandate and Scope
The Strategic Mandate and Scope as indicated or reflected through the alliance’s objectives:
- A platform for which member organizations can conduct joint advocacy campaigns and engage with government agencies and other non-state agencies
- Maximize individual member potential to sensitize and inform an ever-widening constituency of stakeholders on the challenges and opportunities in the environment Sector
- Strengthen capacity building of NECSA-K members and sector networks which disseminate and build up expertise across different relevant advocacy areas
- A forum for Environmental CSOs in Kenya to collective mobilise resources, plan and strategize
- Facilitate exchange of information and lesson sharing between members and networks.
- Strengthen Kenyan E & NR based CSOs participation in Multilateral agreements (international instruments, conventions and treaties)
